A1 – Present Continuous

The present continuous is used to describe actions that are happening now.

To form the present continous we

verb to be + verb + ing

I am teaching English
You are listening to me
Celeste is sleeping
Delia is drinking tea
We are working
John and Mary are watching TV
They are eating dinner

Short form
In spoken English we join the sounds to form “contractions”.

En ingles hablado juntamos los sonidos (contracion)
