Werewolf

Werewolf has been a classroom and language camp favourite for many years and in my experience many Spanish and German kids know how to play.

It’s know in Spanish as “El pueblo duerme” in German as
You can buy a set of cards, but making a set is pretty easy


How to play
Explain the rules
Elect the sheriff.
Deal the cards
Set the scene.

First night –

Wake up cupid.


Additional rules
Amulet of protection – Affords the bearer immunity from the werewolves at night. Must be passed on to someone new during the day.

Dove of Peace – When this card is played. There is no vote

Village idiot – If this player gets linched by the village, her shows his car but doesn’t get to vote thenceforth.

Village doctor – Can

Knight with the rusty sword – If attacked by the werewolves the player dies, but the nearest to him on his left werewolf gets ill and dies the next night.

Potion of strength – takes two attempts to kill.
