  4. How would you ask for help in a shop?
  5. Describe a typical weekend for you.

Part 3: Past Experiences (Lower–Intermediate)

Assesses use of past tense and narration.

  2. Describe a memorable day from your life.

Part 4: Opinions and Preferences (Intermediate)

Assesses ability to express opinions and give reasons.

  5. What is one habit you would like to change?

Part 5: Hypothetical and Problem-Solving (Upper-Intermediate)

Assesses abstract thinking and flexibility.

  1. What would you do if you suddenly had a lot of free time?
  2. How would you handle a disagreement with a friend or coworker?
  3. If you could change one thing in your city or country, what would it be?
  4. What would you do if you had to live in another country for a year?
  5. How would you explain a problem to someone who disagrees with you?
  6. What would you do if you failed an important exam or task?

Part 6: Discussion and Abstract Topics (Advanced)

Assesses fluency, structure, and depth of ideas.

  1. Do you think technology has improved or harmed communication? Why?
  2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of social media in modern life?
